Terms

HueScene is free to use for planning your own home projects and for sharing ideas with the people you’re working with, like your family, your painter or your designer.

The previews are for inspiration and planning. Your screen, the light in your room, the paint’s finish and the surface underneath all change how a color looks in real life.

Please check your final choice with a physical sample before you buy or paint. You’re responsible for that final decision.

To help you find and talk about paint colors, HueScene shows a small selection of color names and codes from third-party color systems and paint brands, each with an on-screen approximation. We only ever show a handful of colors at a time, and we don’t offer these catalogues in full or for download.

The color search is part of the studio and is only for using HueScene. Please don’t copy, scrape or systematically download the color data, whether by hand, with scripts or with other automated tools, and don’t use it to build another catalogue or service.

• NCS and Natural Colour System are trademarks of NCS Colour AB.
• RAL is a trademark of RAL gGmbH.
• Jotun is a trademark of Jotun A/S.
• Flügger is a trademark of Flügger group A/S.
• Nordsjö is a trademark of AkzoNobel.

All trademarks, color names and color codes belong to their respective owners. HueScene is independent and isn’t affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of them. Mentioning a brand or system doesn’t imply a partnership or approval.

The colors on screen are HueScene’s own approximations for previewing. They aren’t the owners’ official color data or specifications and may not be accurate. Always check your choice against an official physical sample from the manufacturer or a retailer before you buy or paint.

If you own one of these systems or brands and would like us to change how it appears or remove it, email hello@huescene.com. We’ll reply promptly and can take a system offline while we look into it.

The room photos come from the photographers credited next to them, mostly via Unsplash. The surface masks, the studio and the rest of HueScene are ours. Please don’t copy, resell or redistribute them.

HueScene is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for costs or losses that come from decisions made with it, such as buying or applying paint.

HueScene is still growing. Features may change, and paid options may be added later. When these terms change, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.

Questions about any of this? Email hello@huescene.com.
